Vintage Pre WWII Coralene Plates. These lovely plates were made before WWII in Japan by Wheelock Peoria. They features coralene flowers ~ flowers which are made of tiny glass beads which make them raised and textured. Surrounded these flowers are hand painted flowers in purplish/burgundy. The rim of the plate has trailing flowers in gold repeating around the plate. There is one large plate and 2 smaller plates. The large plate is approx. 8" across. The smaller plates are approx. 6 1/8" across. There are no chips or cracks in these plates. The large plate has a tiny flaw under the glaze and gold trim towards the bottom of the flowers. There is wear to the design along with some staining/discolorations of the coralene flowers.
